In the work entitled "I’ll be your mirror reflect what you are …", the façade, which optically separates a new building from an old building, is covered with round mirrors, or small plates of 3D-polished stainless-steel, which move silently in the wind. In this way, the façade is interrupted and dissolves, liberating one’s gaze to look in various other directions, depending of the perspective. Primarily visible in the reflection is the sky, which changes continuously depending on the weather, on the incidence of light and on the time of day.

As a symbol of self-knowledge, understanding, clarity and truth, the mirror enables us to come to terms with our own image, as well as giving us a glimpse of what lies behind things. This also relates to the values of a school: educating young people to be independent and aware. In a best-case scenario, the pupils themselves will reflect these values, and the mirror will be held up to them by fellow-pupils and teachers, so that they can “become what they are” – in accordance with the words of the song “I’ll be your mirror” by the rock band The Velvet Underground.
